What to Bring to Performances and Competitions:

Below is list of things you should bring to each performance & competition.  Your coach may give you  additional items to bring.

All dancers should ll their necessary items in a medium sized duffle bag (the same size you would take on an airplane).  Coaches cannot spend time picking up unnecessary items from the team rooms during or after the competition.

The night before:

Remove all nail polish before the competition....even from your toes.

If you are allergic to certain foods and know you can only have certain foods please make sure to prepare something to eat for the competition day. The team can't always cater to special food needs.

Put your name on everything that you bring.  It wouldn't hurt to reference what  team you are on as well.
If you leave something behind, the competition director won't know your name but will know the coach of your team.

Please include the following in your travel bag:

-  The costumes that were issued to you.

-   All black practice attire for floor practice. For Spotlight Mini's, Elem. Elite and Co. that means your black bootie shorts, black leotard and tan tights. (If you have an early floor practice you may be asked to come to the event with this already on)

-  Bring TWO sets of tan tights.

-  SUPPORTIVE bra's if needed.

-  Brush, hair ties, and bobby pins. The color that most closely resembles your natural hair color.

-  Mirror that can  be supported on a table and is big enough to apply makeup if needed.

-  Flat iron or curling iron as dictated by your teams hair style.

-  Foundation, black mascara and black eyeliner.

-  Small blanket and pillow to put on the floor of the team room to rest.

-  Money for concessions/ t-shirts/ memorabilia from the competition.

-  Possible change of clothes, shoes and socks for after the competition.

-  Any medications, with a permission slip to administer it if needed.  This includes:

Tylenol, inhalers and topical ointments or lotions.

Please make sure you get ample sleep the night before and eat a protein based breakfast the day of the event.
